Sponsor A Dog

Saving a dog is a long term commitment and we often hesitate due to lack of funds. Contributions are largely received during the initial rescue with the big story on the grave injuries and pitiful eyes. However, it is the long term care after recovery which forms the bulk of the expenses. It may take months or even years for a dog to get adopted, and the vet bills, monthly medication, food, rehabilitation and boarding charges adds up to a very significant chunk of our monthly expenses.

By sponsoring a dog, you will be freeing up our resources to rescue and commit to more dogs. Sponsor a dog (or Inky the cat) today and save not one but two lives. You need not sponsor the full amount and any amount is warmly welcomed :)

If you would like to sponsor, please fill up this form and we'll be in touch soon.

Thank you.

Adora

Gender: Female
Breed: Local crossbreed
Age: 8+ yrs old
Rescue story here

Adora was badly abused and neglected before we rescued her. As such, she has very little trust in humans and takes ages to warm up to you.

She is presently at a home boarding facility and is undergoing muzzle training as she is rather selective on her doggy friends and the muzzle protects her, as well as the other dogs living with her, thus allowing her to free roam.

Adora requires an experienced foster, which to date, has been impossible to find, and so she continues to live in the home boarding facility till hopefully someone experienced offers help.

Her boarding costs $500 per month and sponsors in full or part thereof is very much appreciated. Email hopedogrescue@singnet.com.sg  to help.

Harper

Gender: Female
Breed : Local crossbreed
Age: 10 + yrs old
Rescue story here

Harper is a special needs dog, born with a broken spine. She is paralyzed on the lower half of her body and gets around on her custom-made wheelchair and other times, is pushed around in her wagon if the distance is too long, as she tires easily.

Harper spends a lot of time lying down in the same position, and as such, has numerous pressure sores. Her foster flips her often but Harper prefers lying on one particular side as her spine is bent to one side, which makes it more comfortable for her.

Harper's foster also expresses her bladder every 3 hours as she is incontinent. It is challenging to foster Harper and keeping her comfortable is quite costly for us to maintain. Harper requires diapers, pee pads as well as massage sessions to help loosen her muscles and provide better blood circulation since her mobility is limited.

If you are able to sponsor Harper's massage sessions (each 30minute session costs $55) or any of the above items, please email hopedogrescue@singnet.com.sg

Harper says thank you for your kindness 😊

Holly

Gender: Female
Breed: Local Crossbreed
Age: 10+ yrs old
Rescue story here

Holly lived in the forest before she was rescued, where she battled against homeless nights and hunger. When we rescued her, she was a bag of bones and had painful wounds on her body. She was also diagnosed with heartworm which required serval months of medical treatment.

She is now improving and blossoming under her foster’s patience, care, and love. As a feral dog, she is still wary of her surroundings but is beginning to open up to her foster family.

Holly stays in an enclosed area that’s still spacious for her to move around freely.

If you would like to sponsor Holly's pee pads,  or food expenses  which costs $500 each month,  email hopedogrescue@singnet.com.sg

Banjo

Gender: Male
Breed: Poodle
Age: 16+ yrs old
Rescue story here

When Banjo was surrendered to us, our hearts ached for what he had gone through. The extent of the wounds on his body was evident in showing that he was badly neglected.

It was also disheartening to see him suffering at the ripe age of 16, when he should be enjoying his golden years instead.

He is currently living with a foster and is making small improvements. He loves to go for walks and enjoys doing zoomies at his foster's place. He also has massage sessions twice weekly due to his arthritis and spondylosis conditions.

If you would like to sponsor pee pads, diapers (male wraps), or massage sessions for Banjo ($55 per session), please email hopedogrescue@singnet.com.sg

Inky

Gender: Male

Breed: Domestic short hair

Age: 8 -10 yrs old

Rescue story here.

Inky, our most recent rescue, was found in a deplorable state. Severely emaciated, with a missing eye and a badly dislocated lower jaw, he was on the brink of death when he approached one of the community feeders at the end of Apr 2023. The eye was found to have been surgically removed on further examination, whereas part of his lower mandible jaw bone was knocked out of place due to a heavy impact, which affected his ability to hold food and hence eat. Aside from this, he also had a mass under his jaw and infection in the mouth and remaining eye.

Since his rescue, he has undergone 2 high-risk surgeries to try to fix back and secure his jaw. Microchipped as a community cat, he is currently with a foster and relies on weekly vet visits to clean his feeding tube and check for possible infections. He has also started on calcium supplements and probiotics to aid with healing. We don’t know how long his road to recovery will take, but we are determined to see it through with him.
If you would like to sponsor Inky’s food/supplements ($250 each month), please contact us at hopedogrescue@singnet.com.sg
